What This Is

PEG Pulse is an independent public interest media platform and social enterprise, home to PEG Perspective, our writing publication, and PEG Dialogues, our documentary conversation series.

This competition is not a conventional contest where a few people submit essays and three names get announced. It is designed to build something bigger, a real community of writers, a growing library of original work, and a genuine pathway from writing your first article to becoming a long term PEG Pulse contributor.

No Fixed Topic

There is no single compulsory subject for this competition. Choose an issue you genuinely care about, within the areas PEG Pulse already explores, and make a thoughtful case for why it matters.
